Privacy Policy

DarkMode Devs LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), an Arizona limited liability company, operates The Intelligent Trader web application (the "Service") at theintelligenttrader.app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

a. Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account. This information is used for authentication and to identify your account within the Service.

b. Trading Data

You voluntarily enter trading data into the Service, including but not limited to: options and futures trades, premarket analyses, trading rules, prop firm accounts and the rules you enter for them, trade notes, and trade context information (confidence, mood, market condition, volatility). This data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore under your authenticated user account. Chart screenshots you attach to your trades are stored in Cloud Storage for Firebase under your account. They are not sent to the AI Coach or Ask Your Journal.

c. AI Coach and Ask Your Journal Data

When you use the AI Coach or Ask Your Journal, the relevant trade data, premarket analyses, and trading rules are sent to the Anthropic API (Claude) to generate a response. For trades taken on a prop firm account you track, this includes that account's details, the rules you entered for it, and where the account stands against them. AI Coach analyses are stored in your account, together with a record of which trades, plans, days, weeks and months have been reviewed and a monthly measure of your AI Coach usage, which we use to apply its usage limits. Ask Your Journal conversations (your questions and the answers) are stored in your account until you delete them or your account, together with a monthly count of the messages you have sent, which we use to apply your plan's usage limit. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy.

d. Payment Information

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or full payment details. Stripe manages your payment information in accordance with their privacy policy and PCI-DSS compliance standards.

e. Analytics Data

We use Google Analytics and Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized usage data such as page views, session duration, and device type. This data helps us improve the Service and is not linked to your trading data.

f. Support Inquiries

When you submit a support form, your name, email, and message are sent to us via Formspree. Formspree's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy.

g. Free Trial Records

When you subscribe, we record a one-way hash of your email address (a fixed code derived from it, not the address itself) so that each email address can use the free trial only once. This record is kept even if you delete your account.

Your data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore, and your chart screenshots in Cloud Storage for Firebase, secured by Firebase Authentication and Security Rules that restrict access to your own data. All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS. While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

We do not routinely read your journal or your Ask Your Journal conversations. We may access them when you ask us for support, to investigate misuse of the Service, or where required by law.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. Deleting a trade also deletes its chart screenshot. You may delete your account at any time through the app's settings, which immediately and permanently deletes all your data from our database, including trades, chart screenshots, premarket analyses, trading rules, prop firm accounts, AI analyses, Ask Your Journal conversations and usage records, and subscription records. This action is irreversible. The only exception is the free trial record described in section 1(g), which is kept so that a deleted account cannot be used to start another free trial.

6. Cookies and Tracking

The Service uses cookies and local storage for authentication session management and to persist UI preferences (such as accordion states). Google Analytics may set cookies to collect anonymized usage data. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
